How do I get the full path for a file in finder?

`defaults write com.apple.finder _FXShowPosixPathInTitle -bool YES`  
then  
`killall Finder`

This will display the full path in the titlebar.

to turn it back off change the -bool `YES` to `NO`

Or if you want to copy the text of the path you can drag the file into Terminal.
