    I tried to create a new AppleID on the instance, but it had a problem with that, so I created one on my local machine and signed in. I tried to sign in on the instance again, but the Apple ID had never been used with App Store and I got this message.

That worked, but did not allow me to log into the App Store on the Mac instance. I installed iTunes for Windows from the Microsoft Store, using [this link](http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) as a starting point, then signed in to that.

    I had problems here, at first. When I clicked continue I would receive a popup saying "You must agree to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions." When I clicked OK it took me back to the previous screen. Horrible. I finally went to [the AppleID Account Management page](https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage) and put in a Shipping and Billing address. Then I was able to go back to iTunes on my Windows machine, and enter a billing address there (I chose None for payment method).
