Record Google Meet call on Mac with Blackhole and Quicktime

The requirement is to record the screen, with your audio as well as other attendees' audio This is tested on Chromium, should work on Chrome as well. Particularly, doesn't work well with Firefox, the main issue being Google Meet doesn't give option to select output device, only "System Default" option is available.

  1. Install Blackhole plugin (https://existential.audio/blackhole/)

  2. Open "Audio MIDI setup" app on Mac, and use the "+" button at the bottom to create the following:

  • 2.1. Create multi-output device, Speakers + Blackhole (in that order)
