Corey Alix
I am comfortable working with Typescript and I have been enjoying building side-projects using HTML, CSS and Typescript with minimal tooling.
I want to build efficient Progressive Web Applications (PWA) for browser devices.
I work with GIS technology including both the ESRI and open source stacks integrated in large solutions. I have a high competency in C#, Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS. I work with both the ESRI JSAPI and Openlayers.
I have some experience with Netlify and FaunaDB.
My favorite recent side projects have been building
Headache with my son as project manager and game-level designer,
Meathead for myself to accompany me to the gym, and
Lightshow for my oldest son, who is starting a lighting-oriented business as he finishes high-school.
I am currently building Knowhead as a Cognitive Behavior self-help tool and modern day temperance chart, although building it appears to have relieved me from needing to use it.
All are PWAs using ES Modules (ESM), Web Components and data-* attributes to establish binding rules.
I originally embraced object modeling tools but over the years have come to recognize that creating a minimally viable solution via whiteboarding, README.md notes and prototyping via unit tests as a more efficent approach. I enjoy creating large frameworks for future grown but prefer writing tiny apps using basic technology and as-needed refactoring.
I am not experienced in AWS administration; I use the simpler Netlify CI/CD pipeline.
I am not experienced with WebPack or Vite; I use ESBuild and TSC directly.
