Creating a basic .NET core web api

Prereqs

VS Code
.NET core SDK

Create a new console project

Create a new folder and cd into it
Create a new console project called Meshd with dotnet new console -n Meshd
cd into the Meshd directory (to where the .csproj file is) and run dotnet run

Each of these commands will run an ad hoc http static server in your current (or specified) directory, available at http://localhost:8000. Use this power wisely.

$ python -m SimpleHTTPServer 8000

Install Terminator (shell)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome-terminator
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install terminator

Terminator should be setup as default now. Restart your terminal (shortcut: "Ctrl+Alt+T").

Adjust trackpad settings to my liking (Preferences > Trackpad)
Remap caps-lock to control (Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys... button)
