    ### Cupertino

    On August 1 Cupertino will decide whether to approve an amendment to the General Plan to allow housing at the Oaks Shopping Center. One plan (the one the developer wants) would build 600 housing units, the other one would build only 270 units. There is pretty fierce local opposition but it might be good to contact them.

    You can email the Council members here: https://sf-yimby-emailer.appspot.com/cupertino. The public hearing is Tuesday the 1st at 6:45pm at Cupertino City Hall.

    ### Belmont

    Belmont (just north of Redwood City) is considering its plan for the next 15 years. The current plan calls for 3300 new jobs and 1500 new housing units. They're also considering an alternative ("Alternative 1") that would add 2400 housing units and 2100 jobs. Maybe you could contact them and ask them to approve Alternative 1 instead?

    There is also a public feedback meeting on August 15, 7:00pm at Belmont City Hall.

    Do you know any of these land use people at Oracle? They are just across the freeway from Belmont and would likely be interested in Belmont's new plans.     ### Sunnyvale

    Sunnyvale is considering what it's going to build downtown: http://news.theregistrysf.com/downtown-sunnyvale-project-renamed-cityline-sunnyvale/. The current plan is for 1600 new jobs/office space and 500 units of housing. Going before the Planning Commission in "late 2017", not sure when, but wanted to flag now.

    ### Brisbane

    The Brisbane City Council will meet soon about the Baylands, just south of SF, 4400 units or 0. Lots of detail here about why they'll probably reject the housing: http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-small-city-controls-big-housing-project-20170728-story.html. The public hearing period is mostly over, but it can't hurt to send an email to [email protected].
