Our Futbol group project was a huge learning experience for me. I was in a group with three of my peers. I believe we all got along well, but I wonder if one of our team members felt left out of the design of the project and a large share of the code implementation due to their scheduling constraints.
I have worked on waterfall projects in the past and found that our agile approach made it much easier to scrap and idea that wasn't working, or completely restructure our data when we ran into issues when we started iteration 3 of the project. I believe agile provides much more flexibility and is conducive to the software industry whereas waterfall is still a valid methodology for industries such as aviation.
Our team mostly worked together in person on the project so we did not utilize a project management tool. During our team retro we discussed that had we worked individually we would have utilized a project management tool. We did utilize slack and integrated github app i
I made it through Iteration 2 and felt I did a good job comprehending the concepts, but needed a lot of pairing and prompting.
I really liked seeing how my classmates approached the problem. I found that I could share some suggestions, but there were times when I struggled to give feedback to someone who had gone further than I had in the project.
I was very unsure how to score myself in the beginning. Having others review my work helped to gauge where I was at on the project.

The most distinctive role is that I have been shown empathy over and over again in my life and the feeling I get when someone else truly seeks to understand where I am coming from. I also know what it feels like when someone doesn't try to understand my point of view. It feels like you don't matter or at least your experience doesn't. I try to practice empathy often, and believe it's what helps me connect to others quickly.
