I also recommend listening to the [3-part podcast by Freakonomics](https://freakonomics.com/podcast/a-fascinating-sexy-intellectually-compelling-unregulated-global-market/) on the traditional art market, as it gives a great deal of context as to why artists and collectors are interested in NFTs (it discusses crypto art in Part 3).

    # Technical Writings

There are a growing number of articles providing various thoughts and criticisms, but I haven't found too many that dive into the technical underpinnings of NFTs for a beginner-ish audience (i.e. somebody who may be fairly tech savvy but not an expert on code/blockchain/etc). I think this is fairly important, as those using NFTs and crypto typically own their own private keys and thus need to own their own security (i.e. a bank is not managing their assets for them), and so the more they understand the technology the better prepared they will be to deal with phishing & exploits, and the less likely they will be to make mistakes.
