Setting up the VS Code configuration for editing LaTeX documents

Configuring VS Code and GitHub for $\LaTeX$ documents

Prerequisites

Your computer needs a $\TeX$ distribution installed. See for instance Texlive

VS Code

  1. On VS Code, install the $\LaTeX$ Workshop
  2. Go to the extension settings. If you're not able to see the extension settings, uninstall it, restart VS Code and install the extension (see this post).
