Basic concepts

  • Pane: sub-window on the current "screen"
  • Window: different "screen"

Shortcuts on the same window

Shortcut after Ctrl+b Meaning
Shift+5 Create a pane on right
Shift+' Create a pane below
arrow key Jump to the pane in that direction
q Show id of the pane, start from 0
q, <id> Jump to the pane with <id>

Shortcuts between windows

c Create a new window
w List all windows
<id> Go to window number <id>
p Go to previous window
n Go to next window
