How to create a YouTube API key

What do you need?

  • Google Account

Step 1

Go to console.developers.google.com and create a Project.

Then, give the project a name.

Step 2

After that, you need to enable an API as following:

Then, search for YouTube Data API V3 and enable it for the project.

Step 3

Then, select on the left side the tab Credentials, click on Create credentials and then select API key.

Yay!

And here you have your API key! ;)

thank you, first tutorial on api keys that I saw that actually worked :D
