I have to agree with the Parin results on this one. I am practical and adaptable. These are both great strengths to have, as they help me to adjust to the tasks before me. I feel that being practical is crucial for programing, as often the goal is great, but the path to get there can be hard to discern. Being practical allows me to work towards finding the paths to follow to reach that goal. Being adaptable in a field that is often changing is another skill that I feel will serve me well. Technology is seemingly always in flux, and having the ability to change my mindset to meet this will serve me well in my career.

I work very well when I can understand the end goal. While I may not know the exact path I will be on at every point of a journey, knowing my general heading helps me to consistently compare where I am with where I should be and prepare accordingly.

I find checklists to be one of the most helpful tools. The process of creating a checklist allows me to think through a task and break each large task into smaller pieces. This often helps me to better organize tasks into ordered lists that make far more sense than just running into the task head first. Furthermore, I find that being able to check off tasks and see my progress helps keep me motivated to continue making progress.

Aside from improving my computer skills, I am looking forward to the professional development classes. Learning ways to be a more effective employee and better navigate the work environment with consideration and courtesy for my coworkers is a set of skills that can always be improved upon and honed. During the try coding weekend, I was very impressed with the views Jeff expressed on how Turing is not just about turning out people who can code. My goal is to graduate Turing with skills
